Obituary for Gene Fish

Gene  Fish
Gene Fish was born to Harry and Edna (Zimbelman) Fish on December 5, 1937 in Tacoma, WA. The family moved to Spokane by 1939 where his sister, Sandra was born. The family moved to Quincy in 1950. Gene graduated from Quincy High School in 1956.

Gene joined the U.S. Navy after graduation. Her served for four years and then was in the reserves for several years. He was honorably discharged.

After being discharged from the Navy, Gene went to work for the post office. He was living in Federal Way when he retired after 34 years of service. He returned to Quincy before his mother, Edna’s death.

Gene was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. He was very proud of his service to the community.

Gene had been living at the Cambridge Assisted Living facility due to health concerns when he passed away on July 23, 2018.

A graveside masonic inurnment will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Quincy Valley Cemetery.
