Obituary for Roberto DeLeon Garcia Sr.

Roberto DeLeon  Garcia Sr.
In loving memory of Roberto DeLeon Garcia, who passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family in his home on April 12, 2018. He went to be with the Lord at the age of 80. Born in the small town of Doctor González, Nuevo León on June 19, 1937, he was the son of the late Natalia DeLeon and Juan H. Garcia.

Preceded by his siblings Jesus D. Garza, Dolores J. Garcia Reyes, Ruben D. Garcia, Alicia Garcia Garces, Maria Isabel Garcia Munoz. Survived by his brother Jose Juan D. Garcia and his sister Rebecca Garcia Reyes. He was the loving husband of his surviving wife Felicitas “Fela” Lozano Garcia of 60 years. Lovingly remembered by his children Robert Jr. (Lauri), Rosalinda (Jorge), Rolando (Isabel), Reymundo, Ramona (Ruben), Rachel (Jeremy), 15 grandchildren (Diego, Ismael, Trina, Isaac, Victoria, Ana-Lisa, Angelica, Emilio, Sarah, Stephanie, Samantha, Andre, Gabriel, Yvonne, Pete), and 15 great-grandchildren.

Roberto settled into his home in Quincy in 1957, where he enjoyed entertaining family and friends with big gatherings at the Garcia farm. His passion was raising roosters (he is known as the Gallero of Quincy). One of his hobbies was boxing in his younger years. He was known to have many friends and compadres. The family would like to thank Karla Bevens for being a care provider of Roberto.

There will be a viewing and Rosary Sunday, April 15th at 3 pm – 6 pm, viewing and Rosary on Monday, April 16th at 6 pm – 8 pm at Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy, WA. There will be a viewing at 10 am followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 11 am on Tuesday, April 17th at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy, WA. Concluding services will follow at the Quincy Valley Cemetery.
